Audit Senior

Our Audit & Assurance team in Finland is expanding to support a growing portfolio of international and Finnish clients. We collaborate closely with Forvis Mazars teams across Europe and beyond, providing seamless audit delivery for global groups and Nordic and local clients.

We are now seeking an Audit Senior to join our Helsinki office and play a key role in delivering high-quality audit engagements in a dynamic and multicultural environment.

As an Audit Senior, you will be responsible for executing and driving audit assignments from planning through to completion, acting as a trusted advisor for both clients and colleagues. Your responsibilities include:

• Driving and executing audit engagements, ensuring timely, accurate, and high-quality delivery.
• Taking responsibility for higher-risk audit areas, identifying issues and escalating to managers when appropriate.
• Acting as a key point of contact for client stakeholders on day-day matters.
• Building and maintaining long-lasting client relationships based on trust and service excellence.
• Coordinating with other Forvis Mazars teams (tax, outsourcing, advisory) to provide a seamless client experience.
• Supervising, coaching, and reviewing the work of junior team members.
• Supporting team development through continuous feedback and on-the-job training.
• Staying up to date on audit standards and accounting regulations (IFRS / Finnish GAAP).
• Supporting clients on accounting and reporting matters, including more complex or technical issues.

What are we looking for?

An agile and business as well as people-oriented audit professional with an international mindset and the following competences, qualities and qualifications:

• A master’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
• On the path or already qualified as, certified auditor (HT/KHT).
• 3–5 years of experience in external audit, preferably from an international environment.
• Solid technical knowledge of IFRS and Finnish GAAP.
• Strong responsibility mindset and commitment to delivering on promises.
• Excellent communication skills in English and Finnish; Swedish is an advantage, but not mandatory depending on client portfolio.
• Ability to execute engagements, coach colleagues, and manage deadlines effectively.
• Strong analytical skills, problem solving orientation, and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
