Szymon Turkowski Partner, Audit and Advisory, Financial Sector

Szymon Turkowski is a Partner in the Audit and Advisory Department for Financial Institutions, where he supervises the work of Risk and Quant Advisory teams. He holds a master's degree in applied mathematics from the Warsaw University of Technology as well as professional certifications from CFA and PRM. Recently in 2026 he concluded Executive MBA studies on Warsaw University of Technology Business School, one of the top MBA programs in Poland. He also holds a postgraduate degree in academy of commercial company law at the Warsaw School of Economics (SGH).

Szymon has many years of experience in carrying out advisory and audits projects for companies in the financial sector, with particular focus on banks. Prior to joining Forvis Mazars in April 2022, he worked for more than 11 years at big four companies, and before that he spent more than 3 years at Polish Financial Supervision Authority (UKNF). 

Szymon specializes in projects in the areas of implementation and review of  quantitative models, IFRS accounting standards, prudential regulations requirements, and valuation of financial instruments. Additionally, Szymon has broad experience in construction and implementation of risk management systems, rating systems, stress testing programs, and implementation of IT solutions. He also specializes in financial due diligence, feasibility and impact studies connected to financial instruments valuation and capital adequacy. He is an AI enthusiast looking for ways to include new technologies in audit and consultancy business.
