This session will provide a comprehensive overview of current trends in overseas investment and expansion by Japanese companies. It will also examine the latest developments in Vietnam, including investment trends among Japanese companies, supply chain restructuring, Vietnam's competitive advantages, the growth of its manufacturing and high-tech sectors, and its position as an export hub benefiting from free trade agreements (FTAs).

Practical considerations for post-entry operations and management in Vietnam: Human resources, management structures, and regulatory compliance


Overview:
This session will explore the practical and operational challenges that Japanese companies may encounter in managing their local operations in Vietnam, including back-office functions and governance structures. Drawing on practical examples, we will discuss key considerations and approaches to addressing these challenges. In addition, the session will cover recent regulatory developments, including the global minimum tax, transfer pricing, and the adoption of IFRS and VFRS, providing participants with practical insights into the evolving regulatory landscape.
