Keiji Kobayashi Audit & Assurance, Partner

Keiji started his career at Asahi Audit Corporation (currently 'KPMG AZSA LLC') in 1995.
While based at KPMG Sydney office as a manager, he has provided statutory audits of local companies, referred audits and various advisory services for Japanese companies. After returning to Japan, he was engaged in statutory audits for Japanese global companies, referred audits for overseas companies and advisory services for the implementation of US SOX.
After being promoted to partner in 2009, he was responsible for statutory audits of Japanese global companies, referred audits for overseas companies and advisory services for the implementation of IFRSs. In addition, he worked in the quality control department, conducting research on sustainability disclosures.
Outside of the firm, he has served as a member of the Accounting System Committee, Final Examination Committee, and Practical Training Center Committee of the Japanese Institute of Certified Public Accountants.
Keji retired from KPMG AZSA LLC in June 2025 and joined Forvis Mazars Japan Audit LLC as a partner in July 2025.
Author of: 'Accounting practices for trading companies' (co-authored by Chuokeizai-sha, July 2010) and 'Q&A of IFRS sustainability disclosure standards' (co-authored by Chuokeizai-sha, March 2024).
