Shalom Fishhaut US Tax Lead Partner

Shalom (Steven) Fishhaut is the Firm’s US tax lead. Fluent in Hebrew, he moved to Israel in 1997 and has extensive knowledge of Israeli taxation laws, compliance, and foreign investment fundamentals. 

With over 35 years of experience, Shalom has worked at top international accounting firms in the US and Israel. For the past 27 years, he has focused on advising venture capital, private equity, and real estate funds, as well as start-up tech companies and their key employees and general partners, on US tax structuring and reporting. His clients include some of the largest Israel-based VC, private equity, and real estate funds with US compliance obligations, as well as Israeli entities managing investments in the US. Several of his corporate clients have been acquired by major international companies, benefiting from his guidance in the due diligence process. 

Shalom holds an undergraduate degree from Yeshiva University and an MBA in accounting and finance from New York University, along with an advanced professional degree in accounting. He is a licensed CPA in New York.
