Global C-suite barometer: Adapting in uncertainty - outlook 2026

Global executives expect 2026 to be a year of growth, AI and continuing instability.

Our annual C-suite barometer is published today, gathering insights from more than 3,000 C-Suite leaders in 40+ countries worldwide.

They tell us a story of growing expectations for AI as adoption of the technology matures, optimism for international growth prospects, and rising investment in the key areas which will deliver growth against a tricky backdrop.

Key findings

  • 92% of global C-suite leaders are optimistic about growth in 2026 – dropping just one point vs last year.
  • 82% report rising revenues, though growth has softened slightly compared to last year (85%).
  • Economic uncertainty and intensifying competition are the top two barriers to business growth heading into 2026.
  • AI and economic uncertainty dominate the trend landscape, with 40% citing AI as the most impactful trend shaping their organisation.
  • Executive confidence is climbing, with over 4 in 10 leaders very confident they can navigate disruptive trends – up six points from 2025.

It’s important to note that, while C-Suite leaders are optimistic about growth, it’s also clear they are all-too aware of the difficulties their organisations will face this year. We believe adaptability will play a greater role than ever before in companies’ success in 2026, alongside a coherent strategy backed by solid execution, change management and resilience on all fronts.
