Ellyn Tan Partner, Head of Financial Advisory

Ellyn Tan is a Partner, Head of Financial Advisory at Forvis Mazars in Singapore. With over 16 years' experience as a licensed Insolvency Practitioner and specialist in cross-border restructuring and insolvency, Ellyn has worked with high profile clients across a wide range of business sectors.
Ellyn has significant experience in managing litigation, asset recovery and restructuring engagements. She has led multiple key engagements including acting as the judicial manager of an investment company with a focus on supply chain, where she completed a sale of the subsidiary and guaranteed a return to unsecured creditors in cash, as well as a judicial manager of six special purpose vehicles (SPVs) which owned 13 tankers during a fleet restructuring. She has also advised on liquidations for large companies in the construction, logistics, technology, and manufacturing industries.
As a prominent figure in the Singapore restructuring and insolvency industry, Ellyn served as a Board Director of the International Women’s Insolvency and Restructuring Confederation (IWIRC). She has been actively involved in IWIRC since the founding of its Singapore chapter in 2019.
In recent times, she has been recognised in the Lexology Index (formerly Who’s Who Legal) Restructuring & Insolvency 2025 report as one of the world’s leading practitioners in the field — a testament to her global standing in the restructuring and insolvency community.
Beyond the profession, Ellyn actively champions women’s empowerment. She has dedicated her time as a mentor for MentorWalks, National University of Singapore (NUS) and National Trades Union Congress (NTUC) and has benefitted from the guidance of mentors through BoardAgender, an initiative of the Singapore Council of Women’s Organisations. She is also an Accredited Listed Entity Director and obtained her Masters in Intellectual Property and Innovation Management at Singapore University of Social Sciences (SUSS) in 2025.
