Professional Background
Gilles Magnan is a Partner at Forvis Mazars, specializing in the audit of large international groups, with a strong focus on the insurance and real estate sectors. He began his career with AGF in France and Poland before joining Mazars in 1992, where he became a Partner in 2003.
Following more than a decade leading the global Financial Services practice and the French Real Estate sector, he currently serves as Deputy Head of Business Development for large and listed companies worldwide, contributing to the firm’s international growth strategy.
A Chartered Accountant and Statutory Auditor, Gilles Magnan is recognized for his expertise in auditing complex organizations, particularly major insurance and real estate groups. He serves as Statutory Auditor for leading companies such as AXA, Klépierre, and Foncières des Régions.
He also leads advisory engagements in France and internationally, including due diligence, accounting organization, Solvency II implementation, and internal control frameworks.
In addition to his professional activities, he has contributed to academic and industry knowledge as a professor at the French National School of Insurance (ENASS), including teaching within its MBA program and the Centre for Advanced Insurance Studies. He is also co-editor of the book Managing an Insurance Company (Dunod, 2013).
