Professional Background

Jean-Claude Pauly is a Chartered Accountant and Statutory Auditor with more than 20 years of experience in the insurance sector. He currently serves as the Global Head of the Insurance Practice at Forvis Mazars, overseeing the development and coordination of the firm’s insurance expertise worldwide.

He is an accredited auditor in France and a licensed Expert Auditor in Switzerland. Jean-Claude has extensive experience leading international audit engagements, particularly for large insurance and reinsurance groups.

Recognized for his deep technical expertise, he is also highly experienced in financial reporting and regulatory frameworks applicable to listed companies, including IFRS, US GAAP, as well as international auditing standards such as IFAC and PCAOB.

In his current role, Jean-Claude leads multiple audit assignments for major international insurers and reinsurers and also acts as an advisor on complex transactions and strategic operations within the insurance industry.

He holds a Master’s degree in Accounting and Financial Sciences and is a member of the French National Institute of Statutory Auditors (CNCC).
