Forvis Mazars opens a new office in the Algarve, Portugal

Located in Quinta do Lago, Loulé, the new office strengthens the firm’s existing presence across the country, adding to its established locations in Lisbon, Porto and Leiria, which already host more than 300 employees.

Sérgio Santos Pereira, Country Leader in Portugal, explains: "In the short term, it is expected that the private clients practice of our tax department, as well as our legal department, will benefit particularly from this enhanced local presence, enabling us to serve our clients residing in that region more closely. Looking ahead, the goal is to offer all the services that our firm presents, from auditing to accounting and consulting services, following the services already described above in the Algarve as well.”

The opening of the space in the Algarve will also help the firm attract diverse talent locally.

Sérgio adds: "Housing costs in Lisbon and Porto are a factor that leads many young professionals to rethink their career choices. With offices in Leiria and now in the Algarve, we seek to promote decentralisation and create employability opportunities in these regions, giving local career opportunities."
