Alain Chavance is the Chief Executive Officer of Forvis Mazars in France, Partner, Chartered Accountant and Statutory Auditor. A graduate of Sciences Po (IEP) and EM Lyon Business School, and holder of an Executive MBA, he began his career at Mazars in Paris in 1997.

Over the course of his career, Alain has held several leadership roles across key regional offices, including Lyon, Annecy, and Bordeaux, before returning to Paris in 2019. Appointed Partner in 2005, he has developed extensive experience in audit and advisory services for both listed and privately held groups.

As CEO and member of the Management Board, Alain is responsible for the strategic development and performance of the firm’s network of 40 regional offices, as well as for managing institutional relationships. He also serves as an executive within several Forvis Mazars entities in France, contributing to the firm’s overall governance and growth.

In addition to his executive responsibilities, Alain remains actively involved in client engagements, supporting organizations on complex audit and advisory matters.

He is also engaged in professional bodies and governance. Since 2020, he has been an elected member of the Regional Chamber of Statutory Auditors (CRCC) of Versailles and Centre, where he serves on the Board, and a member of the National Council of the CNCC (French National Institute of Statutory Auditors).
