Scott Williams Director - Business Sustainability

Scott Williams joined Forvis Mazars in South Africa in May 2025 as Director in the Business Sustainability Department, based in the Johannesburg office. In this role, he supports organisations across South Africa and the continent in advancing their sustainability strategies through advisory, reporting, and assurance services.

Scott is a Chartered Accountant (CA(SA), FCA) with extensive experience in the environmental, social, and governance (ESG) space. His expertise spans ESG strategy, sustainability reporting, assurance, and climate risk analysis. Prior to joining Forvis Mazars, Scott held senior roles at PwC South Africa and Marsh Middle East and Africa, where he led ESG initiatives across multiple industries including mining, financial services, and telecommunications.

He is an active contributor to the sustainability profession, serving on the Integrated Reporting Council of South Africa Working Group and the SAICA Sustainability Technical Committee. Scott is also deeply committed to mentorship and talent development, fostering a collaborative culture that empowers emerging professionals in the field.

With a strong foundation in project management, critical analysis, and leadership, Scott plays a key role in driving Forvis Mazars’ commitment to responsible business practices and long-term value creation.
