Shaneal is a qualified chartered accountant and completed his articles at Grant Thornton Durban in 2014.
Experience
In addition to his role as Partner, Shaneal serves as the Training Officer for the Durban office, overseeing the professional development and technical growth of trainee accountants. He also leads Business Development for the Durban office, driving strategic growth initiatives, client engagement, and market positioning. Shaneal is an active member of the Employment Equity Committee, contributing to the firm’s commitment to transformation, inclusivity, and a diverse workplace.
He served as a Senior Manager in Grant Thornton and SNG Grant Thornton where after he joined BDO South Africa Inc Durban in 2020 and held the position of Associate Director. Shaneal performed an oversight function of the managers committee and was in charge of the logistical planning for the Durban office. He served as a member of the national and local (secretary) employment equity committee.
Shaneal joined Forvis Mazars Durban in September 2021.
Shaneal has vast experience in the Retail and distribution, Manufacturing and Leisure sectors. He has previous JSE listed experience.
He also specialises in Due Diligences from a corporate finance perspective.
Shaneal has been involved with training and developing staff. Shaneal brings a hands on approach working with those charge with governance, and is familiar with and takes pride in delivering deadlines.
