Strengthening Public Sector Governance: Forvis Mazars Supports APN with a Procedures Writing Training in Cameroon
Yaoundé, Cameroon – July 2025 – As part of our commitment to empowering public institutions with practical, results-oriented consulting solutions, Forvis Mazars recently delivered a two-day training session for 50 employees of the National Port Authority (Autorité Portuaire Nationale - APN)

Enhancing internal control through procedural literacy

Under the leadership of Fidèle, our Partner in charge of the Consulting line of service, our team facilitated an intensive, hands-on session focused on procedures writing and operational documentation. This initiative was designed to improve the clarity, standardisation, and implementation of internal procedures across APN’s departments.

  • Participants explored key elements of professional procedures documentation, including:
  • Defining procedural objectives and scope
  • Structuring content for readability and compliance
  • Aligning operational workflows with internal control frameworks
  • Engaging staff in the procedures lifecycle: design, validation, application, and review

This technical training was followed by a collective review and dissemination of APN’s internal procedures manual, ensuring a shared understanding of institutional norms and responsibilities.

A strategic consulting engagement with lasting impact

This engagement demonstrates Forvis Mazars’ unique approach to capacity building in the public sector, combining technical precision with practical knowledge transfer. It also highlights our ability to deliver tailored consulting solutions in Central Africa, aligned with our clients' operational realities.

By helping institutions like APN build strong internal systems, we contribute to governance improvement, transparency, and performance enhancement across the region.
