Huseyin leads Banking risk consulting in the UK and is the Global Risk Consulting Lead for Forvis Mazars.

He advises financial services institutions on complying with regulatory obligations, embedding effective governance and risk management.

Experience 

Huseyin has 20 years of professional services experience, the majority in financial services consulting. He advises boards and senior management at UK banks and investment firms on regulatory strategy, prudential compliance, and governance and risk management matters.

This has included assisting firms in preparing for regulatory visits and skilled person reviews, conducting governance and risk management reviews and remediation programmes, advising firms on prudential compliance (including development of ICAAP, ILAAP, Recovery Plan, ICARA documents), and assisting a range of financial services clients through the regulatory application process.

Work Highlights 

Huseyin started his career at Forvis Mazars as a trainee external auditor and qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 2007. In his early career, Huseyin worked for the firm for over nine years. During this time, he was responsible for managing external audit and consulting projects in the banking industry. He was also the workstream manager for three years on the monitoring trustee project for a large U.K. banking state aid case.

He then spent ten years with a boutique risk and regulatory advisory firm advising a range of financial services institutions, including Tier 1 Banks, FMIs and listed investment firms. Huseyin re-joined Forvis Mazars as a partner in 2023.
