Innocent Muhangazi Partner

Innocent is a seasoned audit and financial advisory professional with over 15 years of experience delivering high‑impact assurance services across Africa. He holds a BSc in Surveying from Makerere University (2010) and an MBA from Edinburgh Business School, Heriot‑Watt University (2017), and is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA(U), 2016), Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA, 2014), Certified Internal Auditor (CIA, 2025), and Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (FCCA, 2013). He is also a member of ACCA, ICPAU, and ISACA, reflecting a strong commitment to professional excellence and continuous development.

​As the Partner – Audit at Forvis Mazars Uganda, Innocent leads audit, quality assurance, and learning and development, providing oversight to engagement teams and driving consistent application of firmwide audit methodologies. His key skills include multi‑sector audit expertise, engagement leadership, risk‑based audit planning, information systems assurance, quality control over audit files, and coaching and mentoring of audit professionals.

​Innocent’s experience spans statutory, system, internal, and project audits, as well as tax compliance and financial advisory, across aviation, inspection, construction, energy, healthcare, and real estate, among other sectors. He is known for client‑centric delivery, integrating IT and financial controls to strengthen governance, manage risk, and support sustainable growth for clients.
