Piotr Mortas Partner, Audit & Assurance

Piotr Mortas is a Certified Auditor and Partner in the Audit & Assurance Department. He joined Forvis Mazars in September 2023, having previously gained over 15 years of professional experience at a Big4 firm.

His experience covers audits and assurance services for a wide range of clients — from small and medium-sized enterprises to the largest companies on the market. He specialises in audits of entities operating in oil & gas, energy, IT, manufacturing (in particular the food industry) and services sectors. His professional background also includes audits of large capital groups and complex group combinations.

Piotr also leads the team responsible for assurance services related to sustainability reporting (ESG), with a particular focus on the requirements of the CSRD Directive, the EU Taxonomy and ESRS standards. He is a member of the Forvis Mazars Sustainability Regional Committee for the Central and Eastern Europe (CEE) region.

Piotr is a graduate of the Warsaw School of Economics (SGH), where he completed a degree in Finance and Banking with a specialisation in Corporate Finance.
