Upskilling recent graduates for a digital future in South Africa

Acknowledging the mismatch between skills demand and supply across South Africa, we developed the Forvis Mazars Institute of Development to help bridge those gaps and offer unemployed youth the opportunity to enter the workforce.

Our Digital futures programme, launched in January 2024, is an accredited education institute comprising six faculties. It is a fully funded digital apprenticeship designed to upskill recent graduates, namely in financial, digital and tech-led qualifications.

These high-potential profiles, which are needed for our talent pipeline, are trained and incubated for 12 months. Following the programme, 80% of the talent then joins our firm while others take with them newly marketable skills.
