Forvis Mazars expands into Ecuador, reinforcing its regional presence in Latin America
To support the expansion, Forvis Mazars has acquired Ecuadorian audit and advisory firm, Alvarez y Alvarez. The local firm, made up of 10 professionals, will be managed by Forvis Mazars in Colombia.
As the tenth Latin American country Forvis Mazars operates in, clients in Ecuador will benefit from the close proximity and resources provided in Colombia, Panama and other countries, including the firm’s suite of audit and assurance, consulting, financial advisory, legal, outsourcing and sustainability advisory services.
Reflecting on the impact of the expansion, Carlos Andres Molano, Leader of Forvis Mazars in Colombia, Panama and Ecuador, added: “The Ecuadorian market is experiencing growing demand for more sophisticated professional services aligned with international standards as various exports and expanding digital finance services continue to drive growth. Drawing from the expertise of over 300 professionals led by five partners and united under the leadership of Carlos Andres Molano, the teams in Colombia, Ecuador and Panama will work closely to provide services for clients in these three interconnected markets, supporting easier expansion across the region.
