Hamalainen Paul Director - RegCentre-Sustainability & Prudential

Paul is a director in our Financial Services Regulatory Advisory team. He is both a prudential and an ESG policy, risk, regulatory reporting and data expert for banks, broker-dealers and asset management firms.

Experience 

Paul has 28 years’ experience in financial services, of which 13 were with UK regulatory authorities and 4 at Arthur Andersen’s Financial Markets Division. Paul has been responsible for the negotiation, design and implementation of several EU and UK financial services policies. He has represented the FSA and FCA on international regulatory bodies such as Basel, IOSCO, the FSB and EBA.

Work Highlights 

Paul is a Chartered Accountant specialising in Financial Services firms accounts. He has a PhD in Financial Economics/Financial Regulation and an Undergraduate degree in Economics with Accountancy.
