Forvis Mazars Sebit Accounting Corporation appoints Jung-Min Lee as Chief Executive Officer

Forvis Mazars Sebit Accounting Corporation announced on March 31 the appointment of Jung-Min Lee, Partner, as its new Chief Executive Officer. The appointment forms part of the firm’s organisational strategy to further strengthen its expertise in audit, tax, and advisory services for multinational companies, developed through the Forvis Mazars network, while also expanding its capabilities to serve Korean companies.

Sebit Accounting Corporation began its collaboration with the global accounting firm Mazars in 2009 and has since grown by providing audit, tax, and financial advisory services primarily to multinational companies operating in Korea. In 2024, following the network expansion between Mazars and the Forvis group, the firm evolved into what is now Forvis Mazars Sebit Accounting Corporation. More recently, the firm has continued to expand its service capabilities and professional expertise through the recruitment of new partners and the development of its advisory services.

Today, Forvis Mazars Sebit Accounting Corporation provides a wide range of professional services, including audit, tax, and financial advisory, to both domestic and international clients. The firm has developed particular expertise in cross-border advisory, supporting Korean companies expanding overseas as well as multinational organisations establishing or growing their presence in Korea.

Prior to her appointment as CEO, Jung-Min Lee served as Head of Audit and Quality Control at Forvis Mazars Sebit Accounting Corporation, where she played a key role in strengthening the firm’s audit quality framework and professional standards. She brings extensive experience in audit and financial consulting, having advised clients across a broad range of industries, including pharmaceuticals, manufacturing, retail, and services.

She also serves as a member of the Women’s Committee at the Korean Institute of Certified Public Accountants, contributing to initiatives aimed at enhancing professional standards and promoting diversity within the accounting profession.

According to industry observations, as of September 2025, there have been no known cases of a female certified public accountant serving as CEO among the top 100 accounting firms in Korea, making Jung-Min Lee’s appointment a notable milestone for leadership diversity in the Korean accounting profession.
