Climate Solutions
In a world currently facing constant crises, businesses are urgently required to reduce their carbon emissions and adapt to the consequences of climate change. Their transition to a sustainable world depends on emerging solutions and technologies, significant investments, and many expectations from their stakeholders—regulators, investors, and customers.
Reducing climate emissions brings several significant benefits, including:
- Strong preparedness and understanding of climate-related physical risks and opportunities that may impact the company’s balance sheet.
- Reduced compliance costs through a well-developed climate action plan that includes both current and future regulatory frameworks.
- Secured financing and stable investments.
- Increased corporate value and competitiveness.
- Avoidance of substantial costs related to the implementation of new sustainability laws with a developed business action plan.
Our Services:
- Emission calculations (in accordance with GHG Protocol)
- Analysis of physical climate risks
- Net-Zero, including alignment with TCFD (Task Force on Climate-related Financial Disclosures)
The GHG Protocol defines three "scopes" (levels) to categorise emissions:
The GHG Protocol (Greenhouse Gas Protocol) is a globally standardised framework for measuring and reporting greenhouse gas emissions. It is used by companies and organisations to understand and manage their greenhouse gas emissions, which is critical for reducing climate impact.
The GHG Protocol defines three "scopes" (levels) to categorise emissions:
- Scope 1: Direct emissions from owned or controlled sources, such as emissions from company vehicles or facilities.
- Scope 2: Indirect emissions from purchased energy, such as electricity, heating, or steam used in the company’s operations.
- Scope 3: Other indirect emissions that occur in the value chain, including emissions from suppliers, transportation, business travel, and the use of sold products.
The GHG Protocol provides companies and organisations with a common method to quantify and report their greenhouse gas emissions, facilitating actions to reduce them and meet global climate targets.
