Estimated wage garnishment values for 2026
A political agreement was recently reached that pensions for 2026 will be increased by 2.7% (adjustment factor 1.027), apart from caps on certain higher pensions. Accordingly, the minimum pension (equalization supplement reference rate for single persons) will increase from €1,273.99 to €1,308.39 with effect from January 1, 2026.
Since the minimum subsistence level is derived from the minimum pension, the following wage garnishment values are expected to apply from January 1, 2026:

Official confirmation of these figures by the Ministry of Justice will take several more weeks. Based on experience in recent years, the provisional figures usually correspond to the final figures.
