Takeshi Tanaka joined Forvis Mazars in Japan in July 2021 as the partner and is now leading the advisory service. Tanaka specializes in international engagements covering internal audits and various investigations related to finance and accounting. He has more than 25 years of experience providing consulting services. He is a licensed CPA in both Japan and in the United States.

Prior to joining Forvis Mazars, Tanaka worked at a Big Four accounting firm and provided services to the middle-market and international enterprises in the Tokyo office of a mid-sized accounting network. After earning his Master of Business Administration in Public Accounting at the University of Rochester, he spent two years serving clients in the United States. Then he worked for a large international audit network in Tokyo, focusing on international engagements and leading the Governance/Compliance including JSOX and Forensics practice.
