Forvis Mazars in Korea, Forvis Mazars in France, and Invest Seoul signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) in Paris to strengthen cross-border investment and business cooperation between France and Korea, marking a new step in the development of economic ties between the two countries.
The signing took place in Forvis Mazars main office in France, during the week of Viva Technology (VivaTech), one of the world’s leading technology and innovation events, highlighting the growing importance of collaboration between France and Korea in high-value and innovation-driven sectors.
The agreement comes at a particularly significant time, as France and Korea celebrate this year the 140th anniversary of diplomatic relations, reflecting a long history of cooperation across culture, technology, and business.
At the heart of the MOU is the ambition to strengthen the connection between Paris and Seoul, two global cities that play a strategic role in their respective regions. Paris serves as a gateway to Europe, while Seoul acts as a gateway to Northeast Asia. Both cities are recognized for their strong economic ecosystems, their ability to attract international investment, and their combination of innovation capabilities with a strong cultural identity.
Supporting Companies between the two countries
Through this agreement, the three organizations will work together to support companies at all stages of their international expansion, including supporting global companies and startups seeking market entry and business expansion opportunities in Seoul, and developing and implementing collaborative programs to support existing foreign-invested companies.
Invest Seoul, as the official investment promotion agency of the Seoul Metropolitan Government, serves as a key entry point for international companies entering Korea and supports them throughout their growth journey.
Forvis Mazars, as a global audit and advisory firm, can combine local expertise in Korea and France with international coordination capabilities, notably through its Korean Desk in Paris and French Desk in Seoul, which facilitate cross-border communication and project execution.
A Strong Focus on Innovation and Technology
The signing of the MOU during VivaTech underlines the importance of innovation in the France–Korea relationship. Both countries are highly active in advanced technologies, and collaborations are already emerging in areas such as quantum computing and digital innovation. Forvis Mazars in France has developed a strong presence at VivaTech, supporting clients and partners through dedicated initiatives and engagement with the global innovation ecosystem.
