Oman's e-invoicing framework is transforming how businesses issue, exchange and manage tax invoices. As the Fawtara programme is introduced in phases, businesses need to ensure their processes, systems and governance align with Oman Tax Authority requirements.
Forvis Mazars helps businesses prepare for e-invoicing from readiness assessments and regulatory guidance to implementation planning and vendor selection support, we help organisations navigate the transition with confidence. While ERP vendors are responsible for technical system integration and implementation, we work alongside your chosen solution provider to help ensure compliance with regulatory requirements throughout the process.
Implementation timeline
The Oman Tax Authority is introducing E-invoicing through a phased implementation programme as follows:

Businesses that are not included in the mandatory implementation phases may voluntarily adopt the Fawtara framework before their mandatory compliance date, subject to meeting the applicable OTA requirements.
