Expected Wage Garnishment Thresholds for 2027
According to the government bill for the Budget Accompanying Act 2027–2028, the minimum pension (Ausgleichszulagenrichtsatz for single persons) will increase by 3.3% with effect from 1 January 2027. Applying the factor of 1.033 results in an Ausgleichszulagenrichtsatz of EUR 1,351.57 for 2027.
As the protected minimum income (existence minimum / Existenzminimum) is derived from the minimum pension, the following wage garnishment thresholds are expected to apply from 1 January 2027:

The official confirmation of these figures by the Austrian Federal Ministry of Justice is expected to take several more months. Based on experience from recent years, however, the expected values generally correspond to the final values that are ultimately published.
