Dr. Julie Laulusa Invited to Speak at Business France’s 2025 “Choose France” Investment Seminar in Beijing

On 17 September 2025, Dr. Julie Laulusa, Managing partner of Forvis Mazars Mainland China and Head of Global China Services, was invited by Business France to attend and deliver a keynote speech at the 2025 “Choose France” Investment Seminar, held at the Embassy of France in Beijing.

Organised by Business France, the seminar gathered senior officials from French government investment authorities as well as investment experts from both China and France. The event offered an in-depth introduction to France’s strengths as Europe’s leading international investment destination and a centre of innovation and industrial excellence, along with a range of preferential measures supporting foreign investment in France.

The seminar opened with welcoming remarks by Mr. Bertrand Lortholary, Ambassador of France to China, followed by an overview of France’s investment attractiveness presented by Mr. Jérôme Coustans, Investment Counsellor at the Business France Office of the Consulate General of France in Guangzhou.

As a recognised expert on investing in France, Dr. Laulusa delivered a keynote speech entitled “Key Tax and Financial Considerations for Investing in France,” providing a detailed analysis of the critical tax and financial issues for investors, supported by practical case studies and Forvis Mazars’ experience in assisting Chinese enterprises in their French investments.

During the subsequent panel discussion, representatives of Chinese companies investing in France from sectors such as logistics, consumer goods, and technology engaged in dialogue with French investment experts, exchanging insights on France’s industrial advantages, business environment, and low-carbon transition.

The event attracted more than 70 senior executives and decision-makers from Chinese enterprises. Colleagues from Forvis Mazars’ Global China Services teams in Germany and Italy also attended the seminar.
