Dr Julie Laulusa invited to speak at Business France’s 2026 Choose France Seminar in Beijing
During the event, Julie delivered a keynote speech and joined senior representatives from the French government, Chinese and French businesses, and professional organisations to discuss investment opportunities in France’s future industries and how Chinese companies can establish and grow their presence in France.
Organised by Business France under the theme “Investing in France: New Drivers of Industrial Transformation”, the seminar focused on four key areas: smart manufacturing, digital infrastructure, robotics and industrial decarbonisation.
The event brought together representatives from French investment authorities, Chinese and French companies, and professional services organisations. Discussions covered France’s latest opportunities in reindustrialisation and future industries, its investment environment and policy support, as well as the measures available to support international investors in France.
Mr Bertrand Lortholary, Ambassador of France to China, opened the event with welcoming remarks. This was followed by an overview of France’s investment environment and attractiveness presented by Mr Pascal Gondrand, Director of Business France China.
During the session on smart manufacturing, digital infrastructure and robotics, Julie delivered a keynote speech entitled “Seizing Opportunities in France’s Future Industries: Tax and Financial Considerations for Chinese Investors.”
Drawing on the latest trends in the internationalisation of Chinese companies and real-world investment cases, she discussed the key considerations for Chinese companies investing in France’s future industries from multiple perspectives, including investment models, location strategy, tax and financial incentives, and compliance requirements. She also shared Forvis Mazars’ experience in supporting Chinese companies with their investments in France and their development in the wider European market.
In the panel discussion that followed, Julie exchanged views with representatives of Chinese companies investing in France and French investment authorities. The discussion explored France’s role as an important investment destination for Chinese companies expanding in Europe, the key success factors for establishing and developing operations in France, and the opportunities emerging in future industries such as smart manufacturing, digital infrastructure and robotics.
The seminar attracted more than 80 decision-makers and senior executives from Chinese companies. Participants continued their discussions during the networking session, exchanging views on concrete investment opportunities in France and broader international development priorities.
Leveraging its global professional network and cross-border capabilities, Forvis Mazars Global China Services (GCS) will continue to draw on its expertise in supporting the international development of Chinese companies, helping them better understand the French investment environment, capture emerging industrial opportunities, and supporting the successful implementation and long-term development of their investment projects.
