Natasja de Hoog Corporate Sustainability Officer

I work as Corporate Sustainability Officer at Forvis Mazars, where I am committed to strengthening our focus on sustainability and social impact. Sustainability affects every level of an organisation and is the driving force behind future-proof business practices. ESG (Environment, Social & Governance) provides the framework through which companies can structure and measure their impact on the environment, society and governance. This requires integration into business operations, corporate culture and decision-making. From reducing the carbon footprint and implementing a Net Zero action plan to reporting in accordance with CSRD / ESRS. It also includes how an organisation treats people, both internally (diversity, inclusion, working conditions) and externally (communities, suppliers, human rights), as well as ethical and transparent governance, risk management and integrity. Corporate Sustainability ensures that ESG is not merely a compliance exercise, but a strategic component of the organisation.
In addition to my professional role, I am chair of the Community Based Approach Foundation (CBA Foundation), where I am deeply committed to our social mission: creating equal opportunities and strengthening the social ecosystem in which children and young adults can flourish. I also have a passion for photography and am actively involved in various social initiatives in Rotterdam. I draw my energy from connection, innovation and creating positive change.
