An infrastructure that works for your organisation
Many organisations start with great ambition when setting up AFAS, the integrated software solution for HR, payroll and financial processes. The goals are clear: less manual work, more stability in daily operations and more professional processes. Yet in practice, things often turn out differently. Processes do not connect logically, colleagues work in their own way and exceptions increase over time. The system starts to feel leading, while it should support the organisation. That is exactly the moment when our role begins.
Our role
We step in when it becomes clear that technology is not the goal. We listen to what is said, but especially to what remains unspoken: unclear ownership, implicit choices and risks that stay below the surface. While others focus mainly on the software, we focus on the organisation around it.
A design that provides clarity
A solid design then becomes the foundation. Not a technical document, but a compact set of choices that provides direction:
- What is the standard way of working?
- Where are exceptions made, and why?
- Which principles are leading, and who safeguards them?
- Who holds which ownership?
Direction during implementation
During implementation, we safeguard the overall coherence. Not to build, but to keep direction. We guard the framework, ask the questions others do not (or dare not) ask, and ensure that every decision contributes to simplicity instead of complexity. Sometimes we are simply the voice that says: “This may seem convenient now, but it will cost you ten times more in a year.”
Result
At the end of the process, you have an infrastructure that supports the organisation instead of limiting it. Processes are aligned with the strategic direction, management gains oversight and employees work with clear and predictable processes in their daily work. The result: an AFAS setup that truly works for the organisation.
