Joanna Orłowska-Filipowicz Partner, Financial Services Audit & Advisory

Joanna Orłowska-Filipowicz is a Partner in the Financial Institutions Audit & Advisory Department. Prior to joining Forvis Mazars, she worked at one of the Big Four firms, where she was responsible for audit and advisory engagements for financial institutions. Her client portfolio included some of the largest banks operating in Poland.
Joanna has extensive experience in the financial services sector, including the audit of both standalone and consolidated financial statements, as well as advisory services for a wide range of financial institutions. Her experience covers banks and banking groups, leasing and factoring companies, lending institutions, and investment fund management companies.
She has a strong track record in leading regulatory, reporting, and accounting advisory and implementation projects, including the adoption of new IFRS standards and the implementation of new financial reporting methodologies and IT solutions. Joanna has provided numerous consultations on the interpretation and application of IFRS/IAS requirements as well as Polish accounting standards.
In recent years, she has participated in a number of mergers and acquisitions projects, including both buy-side and sell-side financial due diligence engagements. Joanna has also delivered numerous training sessions on IFRS and financial reporting, including programs conducted for the Polish Financial Supervision Authority (KNF).
Joanna holds Master's degrees in Finance and Banking and in Accounting from the University of Gdańsk. She also completed doctoral studies at the Warsaw School of Economics (SGH).
