[Event recap] Seminar on Tax and IFRS updates for 2025 successfully held in Dong Nai

On Wednesday, June 18, 2025, a highly informative seminar was held to support businesses in navigating the latest regulatory changes in taxation and International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS). Taking place in Dong Nai, a key industrial hub in Vietnam, the event drew over 140 professionals from across sectors.

Co-hosted by Forvis Mazars and the Dong Nai Industrial Zones Authority (DIZA), the seminar featured a distinguished panel of Forvis Mazars experts who delivered in-depth analysis and practical guidance on urgent financial and regulatory issues:

  • Mr. Da Nguyen (Tax Partner) provided a comprehensive overview of the draft Corporate Income Tax (CIT) Law, explaining proposed amendments and their potential impact on business operations. His session enabled participants to better anticipate compliance requirements and refine their tax planning strategies.
  • Ms. Van Nguyen (Outsourcing and IFRS, Director) shared her expertise on IFRS implementation in the manufacturing sector, focusing on key challenges such as financial statement conversion, asset valuation, and disclosure obligations. She illustrated best practices through real-world case studies.
  • Mr. Huy Pham (Tax Director) explored significant updates under VAT Law No. 48/2024/QH15, emphasizing changes in input VAT deductions, invoicing rules, and transitional policies relevant to cross-border transactions. His insights supported risk mitigation and strategic tax planning.
