Forvis Mazars in Vietnam mourns the Passing of Our Founder, Jean-Marc Deschamps

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of our beloved Founder, Jean-Marc Deschamps, who passed away on Sunday 27 April 2025 in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam.

Jean-Marc was more than the Founder of Forvis Mazars (previously Mazars) in Vietnam since 1994. He was the heart and spirit behind everything the Firm has achieved for over 30 years. After he had joined Mazars in France from 1986 to 1994, he settled in Vietnam and became Managing Partner of Mazars in Vietnam since then. With almost 40 years of professional experience, including 10 years in France and more than 30 years in Vietnam serving as Managing Partner and Senior Advisor at Forvis Mazars, he left behind a profound legacy. His contributions have been reflected in assisting international and multinational corporations, local and foreign-invested enterprises, non-governmental organizations (NGOs) and donor-funded projects operating in Vietnam, and such dedication has made a significant impact on the accounting industry in the country.

He will forever be remembered as a beloved and respected figure within our corporate family - a visionary leader who laid the foundations and guided our journey from the very beginning, and who, with great generosity, entrusted future generations with the legacy he so diligently built. His legacy lives through the values he instilled in our Firm and the lives he touched throughout his remarkable journey.

We extend our heartfelt condolences to Jean-Marc’s family during this difficult time. Our thoughts are also with all who knew and admired him.

Rest in peace Jean-Marc! It will not be the same without you, but we will keep working hard as the-one-team to make you proud and gain strength from knowing that you will always be in our hearts.
