Mathew Gearges Partner - International Tax

Mathew Gearges has over 15 years of experience in Canadian tax, complemented by strong international tax expertise acquired in public accounting, in‑house roles with multinational organizations, and within the tax authority. He brings a well‑rounded perspective that combines technical depth, practical business insight, and a strong understanding of regulatory requirements.

Before joining the firm, Mathew worked in international tax compliance and consulting, contributing to the development of tax reporting services. He also spent more than 12 years in corporate tax roles within large multinational organizations, including five years as the Canadian tax lead for a global leader in the spirits and beverage industry.
Mathew previously served as an income tax auditor with the Canada Revenue Agency (CRA), giving him valuable insight into audit processes and regulatory expectations.

He is a member of the Canadian Tax Foundation, holds a Bachelor of Commerce in Accounting from the University of Toronto, is a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA), and has completed the CPA Canada In‑Depth Tax Program.
