During 2023, Mexico received direct investments of more than 36,058,000,000 USD from the United States, Spain, Canada, Japan, Germany, Argentina, the United Kingdom, the Netherlands, Belgium, and South Korea. This same year, this investment was distributed throughout the country between the states of: Mexico City, Sonora, Nuevo León, Jalisco, Chihuahua, Mexico, Baja California, Aguascalientes, San Luis Potosí, and Querétaro.
