The Gaelic Athletic Association / Cumann Lúthchleas Gael is Ireland's foremost sporting organisation. Ever since its foundation in 1884 the GAA has been a vital presence in Irish community life. The Association continues to grow, promoting Gaelic Games, Irish language and culture through over 2000 clubs both in Ireland and internationally. The role
The GAA is seeking an experienced People Director – Employees and Volunteers to lead the GAA’s people and culture strategy. This role will ensure the Association attracts, develops, and supports both employees and volunteers in line with its mission, vision, and values. Reporting to the Senior Management Team, the successful candidate will oversee all aspects of human resources, volunteer development, organisational culture, employee engagement, and inclusion across the Association, including provincial councils, counties, and clubs where applicable.
The successful candidate will combine strategic insight with a people-first approach, demonstrating collaboration, empathy, and the ability to build strong relationships while upholding the highest standards of integrity and resilience.
