Price-forming information – or what the companies should inform the market about

Disclosure obligations are an important duty that stock exchange issuers are bound to fulfill. Based on their disclosures investors are able to assess the financial status of a company and its development perspectives. However, some disclosure obligations, particularly reporting ‘confidential data’ pose many problems for issuers of securities. Therefore, seminar’s participants will focus on which events and when should be disclosed in accordance with statutory requirements and regulations on disclosure obligations.

During the meeting major problems regarding the fulfillment of disclosure obligations by the companies listed on the Warsaw Stock Exchange will be presented. It will also be discussed what should be reported and what are the most common mistakes made by public companies and whether a conclusion of option transaction is confidential data (case study).

The seminar will be concluded by a panel discussion, the participants of which will answer the question: When does confidential data occur?, and in particular when a contract becomes a contract, whether option transactions are confidential data, when financial data are important data, when data ceases to be confidential and how to manage data.

The following speakers will take the floor: Maciej Bombol, CFA Society of Poland, Aleksander Chłopecki, Of Counsel in SALANS office, Dariusz Choryło, Executive Director at the Investor Relations and Strategic Analyses Department of Bank Pekao SA, Jarosław Dominiak, President of the Management Board of the Association of Individual Investors, Agnieszka Gontarek, Director of the Issuers Department of the Warsaw Stock Exchange SA and Monika Kaczorek, Partner at Mazars. The panel discussion will be moderated by Mirosław Kachniewski, President of the Association of Stock Exchange Issuers.
