Community Day 2025: Together for the causes that matter
Given our constant efforts to build a learning culture within our organisation, we acknowledge the importance of education in the development of both people and society at large. And, while it is essential for us to ensure the proper support for our people at every stage of their development, those initiatives naturally extend to the external environment as well, being translated into our CSR initiatives. Thus, as we continue to honour our commitment to build a better, prosperous world for us and for the generations to come, we choose to stay as close as we can, through our initiatives, to the foundation of that world, the educational system.
As this year marks the anniversary of three decades of trust for our company on the Romanian market, our need to reconnect with our community that allowed us to grow and evolve throughout the years became even higher. For this reason, we brought the fourth edition of Community Day closer to home, at the School No. 206 in Bucharest.
For a day, our colleagues put their laptops, tasks and meetings aside and came together for a greater purpose: to transform the exterior garden of the school into a multi-dimensional space, that will offer the students the proper environment for extra-curricular activities, outdoor seminars and tutorials, sporting activities, and so much more. Through our actions, we are taking concrete steps towards a future in which all children have access to quality education, within a proper academic environment that can maximise their potential.
The event could not have been possible without our colleagues, as their enthusiasm and passion shone throughout the day, and without the help and support of our partner NGO, CSR Nest. Given the activities we were involved in, such as the refurbishment of the materials to be used for the outdoor classroom, landscaping or gardening and planting trees, we were also offered the perfect opportunity to work together, to see one another in a different environment and to bond even further as a team.
Community Day teaches us every year that authentic impact is born when an organisation's values align with the real needs of the community. Thus, through our efforts we have not only created an improved physical environment, but we have laid the foundation for lasting change that will evolve with the generations of students who will benefit from this space.
This initiative reflects our constant commitment to education and community development, proving that corporate social responsibility is not just a concept, but a promise we honour every day. Looking to the future, we are proud to continue this tradition and to inspire all those who want to play a part in building a better, more educated and more prosperous society for everyone.
Finally, we discover what Community Day truly represents through the eyes of just a few of the 120 heroes of the day, who chose to share some of their thoughts with us. The dedication and involvement of each one of them made the difference once again, demonstrating the magnitude of the impact we can have when we work together, united by the same goal.
Community Day through the eyes of our people 💙
We are here to create an impact and to make sure that education stays on the top of the agenda of the country and especially on the agenda of our firm. Dino Ebneter, Country Managing Partner
If I was to describe Community Day in three words, those would be community, connection and contribution. Cristina Nimerenco, Manager, Audit & Assurance
I found it interesting and fun to be able to work with my colleagues in a different way, other than what we’re used to doing in the office! I think this type of activity can help unite us even more as a team.
At the same time, our actions really have the power to produce a significant impact within the community and I’m sure our help will be well received. Alexandru Radu, Senior Automation Consultant, Outsourcing – Accounting
Having already experienced Community Day as a participant last year and enjoying it so much, naturally I chose to be a part of the event this year as well. Through our efforts today, we offered the students of the School No. 206 a cleaner, greener environment. Also, I’m glad to have been able to work alongside my colleagues in a different setting, other than the professional one and I can say in the end that it was a good, productive day!
