Forvis Mazars in Romania strengthens leadership with four new Director appointments

As of 1 September 2025, Leonard Pascu joined the company as Director, M&A Advisory. As of 1 January 2026, Cristina Georgescu was promoted to Director, Outsourcing - Accounting, while Iulian Condrea and Marius Pirpiliu were appointed as Directors within the Audit & Assurance department.

Leonard Pascu has over 14 years of experience in the financial sector and specialises in M&A advisory and complex transactions. A CMA-certified professional, he has held senior finance leadership roles, including at a Fortune 1000, Nasdaq-listed company, where he led major finance transformation initiatives, restructurings and divestitures. He has extensive experience across buy-side and sell-side M&A engagements in multiple industries, combining strong technical expertise with a process-driven approach to deliver value throughout the deal lifecycle.

Cristina Georgescu brings over 14 years of experience in financial accounting. She joined Forvis Mazars (then Mazars) in 2013, following the merger with Adevaris, and has since played a key role in coordinating teams and delivering accounting and reporting services to clients across various industries. Cristina is a member of the Romanian Body of Expert and Licensed Accountants (CECCAR) and of the Romanian Chamber of Fiscal Consultants (CCF).

With over 20 years of experience in financial audit and business advisory, Iulian Condrea has built his entire professional career within our company, having joined the firm in 2005. He is a Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (FCCA), as well as a member of the Chamber of Financial Auditors of Romania (CAFR). In addition to his client work, Iulian plays an active role in mentoring junior professionals and promoting consistent, high-quality audit practices across the firm. He has also made a significant contribution to the firm’s technology and innovation initiatives, acting as Local Administrator for the Atlas audit software and as Implementation Leader for various tools developed by the central team to enhance audit quality and operational efficiency.

Marius Pirpiliu has over 11 years of experience in financial audit and business advisory, with strong expertise in statutory audits, internal controls and financial reporting. He joined Forvis Mazars in Romania (then Mazars) in 2016 as an Audit Assistant and progressed to Senior Manager in 2022. He is a Fellow member of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (FCCA), a Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) and a member of the Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA), the Chamber of Financial Auditors of Romania (CAFR) and the Romanian Body of Expert and Licensed Accountants (CECCAR). He has successfully passed Level II of the CFA Program (Chartered Financial Analyst). Marius has led some of the most important and complex audit projects carried out by Forvis Mazars in Romania, making a key contribution to completing them in accordance with the highest quality standards.
