Forvis Mazars appointed new auditor of the European Central Bank
Forvis Mazars Group, the international audit, tax and advisory services partnership, has been appointed as the new auditor of the European Central Bank (ECB) for the financial years 2025 to 2029.
The firm’s latest instruction comes with the option of an extension for up to two more years and was led by partners Christina Fernholz and Markus Morfeld.
Commenting on the news, CEO of Forvis Mazars in Germany Dr. Christoph Regierer said: "The ECB plays a prominent role in the stability of the European financial system. This appointment demonstrates our development in recent years into one of the leading auditors in the financial services sector as well as our professional excellence in this system-critical sector."
In recent years, Forvis Mazars has expanded its financial services capability substantially on a global scale and in a strategic manner to provide clients with long-term support and the highest quality service in a period of increasing regulatory and technological complexity.
