Publication of the book ‘(Divorce) and Fiscal Aspects 2025’

If spouses decide to proceed with a (divorce), they are confronted with a large number of legal and financial questions. Almost all of these questions have fiscal aspects. The importance of this should not be underestimated by those involved and their advisors.

Recently, the publication ‘(Divorce) and Fiscal Aspects 2025’ was released. The authors of this book are Johan Zuiderwijk and Sanne Jansen-Verbakel, both working within the Estate Planning Section of Forvis Mazars.

The book extensively addresses the fiscal aspects of divorce. It covers an overview of relevant tax laws, alimony obligations, settlement of a (limited) marital community, and the settlement of prenuptial agreements. This is supported by current policy statements, case law, and many practical examples.

This publication is regularly used (as course material) within family law practice.
