Stellar Alumni: Interview with Andreea Georgescu on leadership, culture and growth
And what better way to celebrate our legacy than by sharing the stories that have shaped who we are over the past 30 years? Our campaign, 30 Stories for 30 Years, highlights the people, moments and values that define us. From past and present colleagues to our clients and the markets we serve, each story reflects our journey and the principles that guide us forward. And because each person holds a special place in our story, we are proud to spotlight our Alumni, those whose impact continues long after their time at Forvis Mazars. Today, we share the story of Andreea Georgescu, a Forvis Mazars Alumna we remember for her constant presence, generosity and dedication to her team. In just six and a half years, Andreea’s journey with us grew from leadership to true influence. She served not only as Head of the HR Department, but also as Head of HR Consulting, where she brought both expertise and empathy, shaping teams, guiding people, and building a strong foundation for this line of business. |
1. How did your experience at Forvis Mazars prepare you for the challenges in your current role?
Forvis Mazars’ entrepreneurial culture gave me the freedom to try new approaches in HR - from digitalisation to performance management - and the chance to make a real impact on employer branding. My time here was incredibly fulfilling and helped me develop an “I can succeed in everything” mindset, which supported my growth and allowed me to truly thrive.
2. How do you think Forvis Mazars shaped your approach to leadership?
No matter how ambitious the strategy, success depends on maintaining strong alignment among business leaders. For me, fostering open and passionate conversations became a core part of my leadership approach.
3. What advice would you give to current and future colleagues as Forvis Mazars enters its next chapter?
We’ve all lived through challenging times and change has always been part of our journey. What allows us to evolve is our openness to learning and our willingness to adapt our behaviour when change is needed. For me, learning and adapting are essential - they are how we keep growing.
4. To mark our 30-year anniversary, we invite you to share a brief message - a memory, a wish or a personal reflection on what Forvis Mazars means to you.
I wish for the team to play together like an orchestra - each person contributing their part, listening to one another and creating something stronger as a whole. Use your tools with confidence, enjoy the process and allow yourselves to start small and improve step by step. Keep moving forward, refining your work along the way, until you see energy and enthusiasm reflected in your colleagues. That’s when you know you’ve succeeded, so take the time to celebrate your success.
As Andreea said, it’s all about the enthusiasm and energy we see in people when they feel engaged and inspired. For 30 years, we’ve focused on people, learning and building meaningful careers.
We thank Andreea for being an important part of our story and wish her all the best on her journey ahead.
For 30 years, our strength has been our people - and that’s what will carry us forward.
