Ovidiu is a Director within Forvis Mazars in Romania. He has over 10 years experience as financial auditor and consultant, accumulated during various audits and financial advisory assignments with a focus on various sectors with a main focus on Insurance Business. .

Ovidiu is also coordinating the Romanian IFRS desk and has been involved in: several first year implementation of IFRS, preparation of individual and consolidated IFRS financial statements, IFRS 9 and IFRS 17 implementation, mergers & acquisitions, specific technical consultations.

Ovidiu was involved in several advisory assignments and internal audits in which he performed risk assessments, prepared audit plans, reviewed internal controls, identified improvement areas and contributed to the documentation of the internal control manual.

He was an engagement senior-manager for the review and implementation of the Solvency II framework (including internal model). Ovidiu has also been involved in due diligences (buyer and seller side) of both life and non-life insurance companies.

During his audits, advisory and due diligence assignments, Ovidiu has also been involved in actuarial related topics such as: computation of technical reserves, review of assumptions, etc.

Ovidiu is a member of Forvis Mazars Group Insurance Global Business Unit and Forvis Mazars Group Insurance Audit Methodology team. He has also provided several trainings worldwide (Asia, Latin-America, Europe) on topics such as: internal control framework, IFRS, Solvency II,  etc.
