[Recap] Seminar: France’s experience in developing legal frameworks for International Financial Centers

Mr. Christophe Cougnaud delivered a presentation focused on Vietnam’s groundbreaking Resolution 222, dated 27 June 2025. He emphasized how this new legal framework represents a pivotal milestone in Vietnam’s ambition to position itself as a competitive International Financial Center (IFC).
The session also featured dynamic exchanges among distinguished panelists, who shared valuable insights from France’s experience and explored avenues for collaboration to support the implementation of strategic IFC projects in Ho Chi Minh City and Da Nang:

Hosted by the French Embassy in Vietnam, the event welcomed over 100 delegates from key Vietnamese government bodies, including the Ministry of Justice (MOJ) and the Ministry of Finance (MOF), alongside leading economic and legal experts. Discussions offered diverse perspectives on the essential pillars of successful IFCs, from regulatory reform and investment promotion to global partnership development.
