Vietnam’s M&A Market Outlook

Global dealmaking recovered to US$3.7 trillion in 2024, with Q1 2025 already reaching US$1 trillion, while Vietnam cooled to US$5.7 billion in 2024 and US$2.1 billion across 180 transactions in H1 2025. Since 2021, five sectors accounted for 76% of disclosed value: financials, real estate, consumer, healthcare, and industrials.

Looking ahead to 2025, activity is expected to concentrate in three focus areas: urban infrastructure and real estate, technology and sustainability, and healthcare and education.
