International Fraud Awareness Week

Forvis Mazars in Malta: Proud Sponsors of 2025 International Fraud Awareness Week

International Fraud Awareness Week, commonly known as Fraud Week, was launched in 2000 by the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners (ACFE). Each November, hundreds of organisations unite to promote fraud awareness across workplaces and communities worldwide.

Raising awareness and providing anti-fraud training are essential to protecting an organisation’s bottom line. According to research conducted by the ACFE, companies that did not provide fraud awareness training to their staff, lost nearly twice as much to fraud as those who provide it.

Forvis Mazars is proud to support this global initiative, reinforcing our commitment to integrity, transparency, and accountability, both within our organisation and the wider community.

Forvis Mazars has launched a campaign focused on promoting anti-fraud education and awareness across different sectors and communities. Throughout Fraud Awareness Week, we will be engaging in a range of activities, including:

· A virtual roundtable: “Let’s Talk Fraud: Understanding, Preventing, and Responding to Scams,” where we will discuss today’s most common and emerging scams affecting businesses.

· Community sessions in collaboration with local retirement homes: Helping the elderly recognise and avoid scams.

· Interactive sessions with students: Exploring how to recognise online scams, protect personal data, and navigate the digital world safely.

· The launch of our fraud awareness guide: “Let’s Talk Fraud: Spotting Scams and Schemes.”

We invite you to join us in raising awareness and empowering communities to recognise, prevent, and respond to fraud.
