Financial advisory offers an in-depth training experience where you will combine fundamental technical accounting skills with commercial and practical skills essential to advising successful businesses. You will understand what makes a business viable, how it deals with challenging situations, and what its sources of finance are. As a Forvis Mazars financial advisory associate, you will work in a dynamic environment undertaking advisory and restructuring assignments with a focus on commercial decisions that deliver the best outcome for your client. You will develop a rounded skillset, with a focus on progression into leadership and relationship management roles with clients.

Corporate finance

Our corporate finance team advises on trade sales, private equity rounds, venture capital and management buy-outs, leveraging extensive experience across a wide variety of sectors both nationally and internationally. As an associate, you’ll collaborate closely with managers, directors and partners, gaining hands-on exposure to all transactional aspects.

Our comprehensive training equips you with the technical skills to excel in your profession, learning from professionals with diverse backgrounds. You’ll master financial modelling, preparing businesses for sale, market strategies, auction management, due diligence coordination (financial, legal, commercial and tax) seeing transactions through from start to finish and most importantly you’ll have fun doing it.

Transaction services

In the deals environment, a transaction typically refers to either the purchase or sale of a business, or an investment into a business (typically through private equity). The Forvis Mazars transaction services team provide critical advice to clients involved in transactions, whether they are a buyer, a seller or an investor. We help our clients to identify and address key risks, to run a seamless transaction process and to maximise their return from the deal.

From day one, you’ll receive dedicated mentoring and coaching in a dynamic, fast-paced environment while applying your skills in real-world scenarios. This involves providing transaction support and financial due diligence services to clients. The scope of our work includes financial and non-financial analysis, including validating items such as the commercial rationale for a deal or potential synergies. You’ll develop strong analytical and technical abilities, including company valuations and business modelling.
