Connolly Jo Group Chief Quality & Risk Officer

Jo is the Group Chief Quality & Risk Officer (CQRO), member of the Group Executive Committee (GEC) and chairs the Group Quality & Risk Management Committee (QRMC). She is also a member of the Network QRM Committee.

Experience

Prior to joining, Jo spent almost 25 years at KPMG – based in the UK, Australia, Belgium and the US. Starting in financial services audit, Jo moved into corporate recovery and insolvency, focusing on operational restructuring. She then moved into Quality & Risk Management to lead on harmonisation of policies and procedures and was Secretariat to the European Contact Group (ECG) during the EU Audit Reform debate. Jo was also the Global program co-lead for KPMG’s ISQM1 project to design and implement the new framework.

Work highlights 

Jo has a strong record of transformation of quality & risk functions. She drove ISQM1 implementation across the Group and led significant change as the function matured. She was appointed to the Group Executive Committee (GEC), indicating the strong importance of Quality & Risk Management for the firm.
