Transfer pricing in practice: A webinar series on tax inspections

Transfer pricing is one of the areas the tax authority pays particular attention to during tax inspections. In the first half of 2026, 15 of 16 transfer pricing tax inspections ended with findings. How does an inspection work, what will the tax office ask for, and where do companies most often run into problems? Join our series of 5 free webinars and get ready for an inspection before it knocks on your door.

Why does this matter?

Transfer pricing has long been one of the priorities of the Slovak Financial Administration. According to its data, 15 of the 16 transfer pricing tax inspections completed in the first half of 2026 ended with findings. In other words, almost every inspection in this area led to findings by the tax authority.

The outcome of an inspection often depends not only on how prices are set, but also on how well the company is prepared:

  • Whether its documentation is complete and up to date
  • Whether it can demonstrate the need for and benefit of the intra-group services it receives
  • Whether it can provide the requested materials to the tax authority on time

For this reason, from 27 October to 10 December 2026, with the support of French-Slovak Chamber of Commerce (FSOK), we are running a series of five free short webinars. The opening webinar presents the changes in the new Table I to the corporate income tax return. The other four parts focus on transfer pricing tax inspections, from their start through the submission of documentation and the most common findings to the lessons from court decisions. Instead of extensive theory, we will focus on specific situations and on experience from inspections in which we have supported our clients.

What you can expect

Each part lasts no more than 30 minutes and is dedicated to a single topic. The webinars build on one another, but each can also be attended on its own. You will learn, for example:

  • What is changing in the new Table I to the tax return and how it affects the reporting of controlled transactions
  • How a tax inspection focused on transfer pricing is conducted
  • Which supporting materials and documentation the tax authority most often requests
  • Which shortcomings recur during inspections and how to prevent them
  • What court decisions mean in practice

Who is the series for?

The series is intended for companies that are part of international or domestic groups and carry out transactions with related parties. It may be of particular interest to:

  1. Manufacturers and suppliers in the automotive and engineering industries
  2. Distribution and trading companies, including retail
  3. Shared service centres and companies that provide or receive intra-group services (such as management, IT or accounting services)
  4. Companies with intra-group financing (loans, cash pooling) or royalty payments
  5. Companies that report long-term losses or have undergone a restructuring within their group

Within these companies, the webinars could be of use for CFOs, tax and accounting specialists and controllers who want to be prepared for a tax inspection.
